Your team has been assigned a simple machine (above) to teach to the rest of the class. You and your team must demonstrate a complete understanding of the machine in your presentation. You will be graded on the following:

1. Handout: 10 pts.

Your handout should describe how your simple machine works, and include labeled diagrams of common everyday examples that machine. See my website for information on simple machines http://www.zionsville.net/hightech/team4/averill/links.htm

2. Presentation: 10 pts.

You demonstrate to the rest of the class exactly how your simple machine works. You should use several examples of the machine in your demonstration and explain how force, distance, and direction are changed. Explain why your machine is not perfectly efficient (100%) when it is used and how the efficiency of your machine can be increased.
