THE ZIONSVILLE PARK AND RECREATION BOARD
April 9, 2003
The Zionsville Board of Park and Recreation met Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. All Board members were present. Roger Burrus, Board Counsel and Al Smith, Park Superintendent were also present.
Linda Oxenrider moved to approve the March minutes. Seconded and passage was unanimous.
Superintendent’s Report
Al Smith reported that the Rail Trail signs have been installed. He also presented the 1st Quarter Report.
OLD BUSINESS
Tennis Program
Pam Smith presented the Board with the 2003 Tennis Program schedule. She requested the use of the tennis courts to run the program.
Jeff Glass moved to authorize Pam Smith’s use of the tennis courts to conduct her tennis program as outlined. Seconded and passage was unanimous.
Bradley Property – Public Input on New Park
A summary of the public input is attached.
NEW BUSINESS
Impact Fees
George Tikijian asked Art Small to explore the implementation of impact fees as an avenue to raise funds for the Department.
Art Small moved the Board approve the claims submitted. Seconded and passage was unanimous.
The next Park Board meeting will be May 14, 2003.
