Minutes of Zionsville Park’s Board
May 12, 2004
George Tikijian, President of the Zionsville Park’s Board calls the meeting
to order @ 7:35 PM Members present at the meeting are George Tikijian, Art Small
and Linda Oxenrider.
The Minutes of the April meeting are submitted for approval

New Business:
Summer Tennis – Team Witsken Tennis represented by Gretchen Knoblock presented
a proposal to hold summer tennis clinics at Zionsville’s tennis courts near
Lions Park.
Discussion: Same schedule as last year except 2 weekends 6/19-6/20 and 6/26-6/27.
All classes held in the mornings. Roger will get certificate of insurance from
Witsken
Art Small – moves for approval of Witsken’s use of the tennis courts

Motion approved
Regarding bond for Parks – George Tikijian indicates that he has heard nothing
from the Town Council
Regarding Saylor Drain – George Tikijian indicates nothing new has arisen since
our last meeting.
Barns in Mulberry Fields – Mark Walters from Preservation Committee presented
a proposal to stabilize the barns. The cost of the stabilization would be $10,000.
Mr. Walters submitted a bid proposal for stabilization. The Preservation Committee
will pay for the stabilization at no cost to the town. The Preservation Committee
not asking for a commitment beyond stabilization of the barns. George Tikijian
requests that stabilization be coordinated with Al Smith.

George Tikijian discusses an e-mail he received from Ray Pratt of the Eagle
Township Parks Board regarding a presentation on a trail in Stonegate and
Western Eagle Township
